Dear Colleagues,

We have one-day workshop for discussing the EIC project
and related J-PARC topics. If you are in Japan in this summer,
you may consider to join our discussions on August 3.

Best Regards, Shunzo Kumano

ps. We are also making the program on the workshop on
hadron tomography on July 31, 2016 in "Kyoto".
We will send you the tentative program next week.

===============================================================================

We have a one-day workshop on Electron-Ion-Collider (EIC) project
in Tokai, Japan on August 3 (Wednesday), 2016.

The US nuclear science advisory committee (NSAC) recommended that
the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) be built in the US with highest priority
as the new large facility for investigations in QCD. It is expected to
start in 2025. The EIC has unprecedented ability to explore the gluon-quark
structure and dynamics of hadrons and nuclei. It will also allow us to
explore
universal and fundamental aspects of QCD with the highest energy
electron-nucleus collisions.

We plan to have discussions on the EIC project and related J-PARC physics
with leading scientists from US:
     Abhay Deshpande (Stony Brook University),
     Jianwei Qiu (BNL),
     Rikutaro Yoshida (JLab).

The following is the schedule of this workshop. The talk of Abhay Deshpande
is also announced as a JAEA-KEK joint seminar for general audience in
particle
and nuclear physics.
