Dear colleagues:

We would like to remind you on the “Future Trends in Nuclear Physics Computing” workshop which be held this week from March 16th to18th at Jefferson Lab. The goal of the workshop is to discuss trends in scientific computing and to collect ideas on how to improve analysis workflows at existing nuclear physics programs as well as to work towards analysis techniques and tools for future projects like the Electron-Ion Collider. We will not only review best practices in scientific computing and the future development of existing analysis techniques and tools, but also examine how future computing trends like big data or machine learning could improve the productivity at existing or future experiments.

The workshop agenda is available on: https://www.jlab.org/conferences/trends2016/program.html

During the workshop, there will be an evening lecture: On Wednesday, March 16th, at 7:30 p.m., Stephen Casey from NASA will give an “Introduction to Quantum Computing”.

We hope to see many of you at this week’s “Future Trends in Nuclear Physics Computing” workshop.

Yours sincerely,

Amber Boehnlein, Graham Heyes, and Markus Diefenthaler.
