  Dear Colleagues,

  We would like to bring your attention on the newly created Positron
Working
  Group (PWG) at Jefferson Lab. In support of a growing interest, this
working
  group has been formed to explore the physics possibilities with
respect to a
  positron experimental program at JLab. This next step is to frame a
strategy
  that successfully motivates positron beams at 12 GeV CEBAF, a future
  Electron-Ion Collider or the LERF.

  The PWG is organized into five topical sub-groups:

    • Interference Physics (John Arrington and Charles Hyde);
    • Charged Current Physics (Yulia Furletova and Wally Melnitchouk);
    • Tests of the Standard Model (Marco Battaglieri and Xiaochao Zheng);
    • Positron Applications (Tony Forest and Farida Selim);
    • Positron Production and Beam Physics (Joe Grames and Vasiliy
Morozov).

  The inaugural goal of the PWG is to investigate the capabilities,
  requirements, and physics reach with respect to each of these topics and
  then deliver a Jefferson Lab Positron Physics White Paper in 2017.

  We encourage your participation in this process. The first step is to
  subscribe to the PWG mailing list at pwg at jlab.org (please indicate
  “subscribe” as the e-mail subject) or by visiting the PWG home page
https://wiki.jlab.org/pwg. You may also directly contact the PWG
  coordinators.

  Best regards,

  Eric Voutier & Joe Grames for the PWG
