[Cuga] Jefferson Science Associates Minority/Female Undergraduate Research Assistantship- a message from Brita Hampton

Jefferson Lab is seeking candidates for a research assistantship to 
provide an opportunity for a minority or female undergraduate student to 
work on projects that are part of the Lab's research program or directly 
related to the scientific or engineering aspects of the research 
program. JSA will provide funds to support the student at the University 
during the 2017 - 2018 academic year.

  * Students must be enrolled full-time as a junior or senior during the
    2017-1018 academic year to be eligible.
  * Students must be nominated by a faculty member in order to apply for
    the assistantship
  * JSA will provide a $5,000 stipend to the selected student’s
    university to pay the student through its student employment
    program. The assistantship will not provide support for tuition,
    fees and other such expenses
  * The selected student will work at the university under the guidance
    of a university faculty member
  * The selected student must submit a project report at the end of the
    assistantship
  * Additionally, up to $1,500 is available for the selected student to
    visit Jefferson Lab or to attend a related research workshop

commitment from the JSA owners, SURA and PAE Applied Technologies.
