SUBJECT: JLab Accelerator Associate Director Position Update*

Dear Colleagues,

In April 2017, Andrew Hutton stepped down from his position as Associate 
Director for Accelerator Operations, Research and Development, at 
Jefferson Lab. We have posted this position on the Jefferson Lab website

and advertised the position in several premier Physics publications.

We have also appointed a search committee with a distinguished 
membership to conduct an international search and provide final 
recommendations for this position. The committee will be co-chaired by 
Steve Holmes of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and myself.  
Members include Patrizia Rossi (Jefferson Lab), Rikutaro Yoshida 
(Jefferson Lab), George Neil (Jefferson Lab), Mary Logue (Jefferson 
Lab), Krishna Kumar (Stony Brook), and Rhonda Barbosa (Jefferson Lab).

If there are names of individuals you believe would be an asset to the 
Lab for the Accelerator Associate Director position, we would like to 
hear from you. Alternately, we ask that you encourage those whom you 
believe to be an ideal fit for the position to apply. For full 
consideration applications are requested by July 31, 2017.
