Hello, everyone:
There will be a *Computing Round Table* on *Tuesday,* *August 1*, at
*1:00 p.m.* (EDT):
Dr. David Blyth from Argonne National Laboratory will give a HepSim
tutorial. HepSim (http://atlaswww.hep.anl.gov/hepsim/) is a public
repository with Monte Carlo simulations for particle-collision
experiments. It includes Monte Carlo events after fast ("parametric")
and full (Geant4) detector simulations and event
reconstruction. The HepSim Monte Carlo event repository was started at
Argonne National Laboratory during the US long-term planning study of
the American Physical Society’s Division of Particles and Fields
(Snowmass 2013). HepSim contains event samples for physics and
detector-performance studies for various particle colliders, including
LHC and EIC. As part of the JLEIC project, there has been a HepSim
server installed at Jefferson Lab.
At Jefferson Lab we will meet in *F224-225*. For remote participation,
we will use *BlueJeans*:
*Meeting ID*: 373678588
You can join via *browser*:
