We are pleased to announce the thirteenth edition of the "Quark Confinement
and the Hadron Spectrum" conference which will take place in Maynooth,
Ireland, 1-6 August 2018.

Scientific Topics
----------------------

The conference focuses on QCD with the aim to explore all aspects of
strongly interacting systems and provides a forum enhancing the exchange
among theorists and experimentalists as well as among different related
fields covered by the following sections.

Gauge Fields and Chiral Fermions Section B: Light Quarks Section C: Heavy
Quarks Section D: Deconfinement Section E: QCD and New Physics Section F:

There is some financial support to facilitate the participation of students
and young postdocs. Further details will be made available on the web site.

Accommodation
----------------------

We have reserved accommodation for conference delegates on the Maynooth
University campus.  These can be booked at the time of registration.  We
have also negotiated prices for a limited number of rooms in nearby hotels.
Further details about this and other accommodation options will be provided
in the second circular.

About Maynooth
---------------------------

Situated 25 km west of Dublin, Maynooth was historically the seat of the
Earl of Kildare and Duke of Leinster.  Maynooth Castle, dating from the 12th
century, lies just outside the gates of the University.
St Patrick's College Maynooth was founded in 1795 as a seminary and later a
pontifical university.  The National University of Ireland, Maynooth became
an independent university in 1997 and is today Ireland's fastest growing
university.

Travel

Maynooth is just 40 minutes by car from Dublin Airport, which is well
connected with flights from more than 130 destinations operated by 40
airlines, including over 1600 flights from Europe and 120 flights from North
America every week.  There is an hourly shuttlebus from Dublin Airport to
Maynooth.  Maynooth is also well connected with a regular commuter and
intercity train service as well as bus services to Dublin.  Detailed travel
