Dear Colleague,

the 23rd International Symposium on Spin Physics and Related Phenomena
(Spin 2018) - jointly organised by the University of Ferrara and INFN -
that will be held in Ferrara (Italy) in September 10-14, 2018, is now
open for registration and abstract submission at the page:
       http://spin2018.unife.it

As Organizers, we took over the challenge of hosting the 2018 Edition of
the Spin Physics Symposium in the Renaissance center of Ferrara, which
since 1995 is inserted in the UNESCO list of world Heritage. Ferrara is
easily reached by train from Italy and connected to two large nearby
international airports, Bologna and Venice, served by major and low-cost
airlines.

The International Spin Physics Symposium series has been held jointly
combining the High Energy Spin Symposia and the Nuclear Polarization
Conferences since 2000. The most recent symposia took place at the
Forschungszentrum Juelich, Germany (2010), at JINR, Dubna, Russia (2012),
at PKU in Beijing, China (2014), and the University of Illinois in Urbana
Champaign, USA (2016).

The scientific program will include topics related to spin phenomena in
particle and nuclear physics and related fields. The Symposium format
consists of talks in plenary and parallel sessions. A poster session is
also foreseen. Parallel sessions will focus on the following items:

* Spin physics in Nuclear Reactions and Nuclei
* Nucleon helicity structure
* 3D Structure of the Nucleon: TMDs
* 3D Structure of the Nucleon: GPDs and Form Factors
* Low Energy Spin Physics with Lepton, Photon and Hadron Probes
* Fundamental Symmetries and Spin Physics Beyond the Standard Model
* Acceleration, Storage and Polarimetry of Polarized Beams
* Polarized Ion and Lepton Sources and Targets
* Future Facilities and Experiments
* Application of Nuclear Polarization Techniques to Other Fields

The Conference Fee for early registration amounts to 400 Euro and
300 Euro for students (500 Euro and 350 Euro, respectively, for late
registration). Fee includes coffee breaks, lunches and conference dinner.

KEY DATES:
30th June - Deadline for abstract submission
31st July - Notification of acceptance
15th August - Deadline for early registration
10th September - Conference start

The logistic information to reach Ferrara can be found on the web page of
the Symposium. Please consider that Ferrara is a touristic center hosting
many events and it might be difficult to book a hotel with late
reservation. For this reason we invite all of you who intend to attend the
Symposium to plan their trip to Italy in advance. A list of Hotels with a
number of reserved rooms is already available and accessible from the web
page of the event.

For any information, please send an e-mail to: SPIN2018 at fe.infn.it

The Organizing Committee.
