Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for topical Workshop
             ``Strong QCD from Hadron Structure Experiments"
that will be held at Jefferson Lab, Newport News, VA, USA from Nov. 6-9, 2019.
See the registration link on the Workshop website at:
                     https://www.jlab.org/conference/QCD2019

The scientific scope of this workshop will focus on the properties of hadrons and nuclei,
and their emergence from Strong QCD. The goal is to explore new horizons in the structure
of the ground and excited hadrons, 3-D femto-imaging, and spectroscopy. The successful start of the new 12-GeV era of experiments in the four halls at Jefferson Lab in the U.S., as well as the experiments at the European facilities ELSA, MAMI, and GSI, and the Asian facilities BES, SPring-8, and JPARC, have considerably extended the scope of the experimental research in hadron physics. Impressive progress in relating the hadron structure observables to the Strong QCD mechanisms was achieved from the ab initio QCD description of hadron structure to a diverse array of methods allowing us to expose emergent phenomena via quasi-particle formation.

This Workshop aims to develop plans and to facilitate the future synergistic efforts between
experimentalists, phenomenologists, and theorists working on studies of hadron spectroscopy and structure, both in the resonance and deep inelastic scattering regions, with a goal to elucidate hadron emergence from QCD. The Workshop topics include:

*    1-D and 3-D structure of ground/excited hadrons;
*    Mass, momentum, and pressure distributions in hadrons;
*    Hadron spectroscopy and new hadron states;
*    QCD-based frameworks for the description of hadron spectroscopy and structure;
* Science opportunities at an Electron-Ion Collider.

Physicists early in their careers, postdocs, and students are encouraged to participate in the Workshop presentations and discussion, as well as to present a poster to further enhance discussions and current topics. The presented posters will be reviewed by the Workshop participants the best posters will be receive an award. A round table discussion with brief ~10 min talks will be scheduled as a part of the Workshop program.

The "Reimei Symposium on Synergies between JPARC and JLab" has been scheduled before the Workshop, Nov. 5 at 1.00 pm. All details will be available in the Workshop website soon

IMPORTANT dates: Early registration until Oct. 4, 2019
                            Late registration from Oct. 4 to Nov. 6, 2019.

We are looking forward to seeing you at Jefferson Lab for this Workshop!

With our very best regards,
The Local Organizing Committee:
V.I. Mokeev (Chair),
