CLAS COLLABORATION
The CLAS collaboration had a successful four-day meeting with over 125 registered participants, some participating remotely. The collaboration elected Kyungseon Joo, Professor at the University of Connecticut, as new chair to succeed Raffaella DeVita, whose two-year term will end September 1, 2019. The collaboration discussed new results from the experiment with the CLAS detector, as well as emerging preliminary results from the three CLAS12 run groups (RG-A, RG-K, RG-B), which took data in 2018 and in the spring of 2019 for 23 scientific proposals. The full data processing for RG-A and RG-K is planned to begin in July 2019.

PROTON RADIUS EXPERIMENT
The Proton Radius experiment, which took data in 2016, is the first experiment in the 12 GeV era that completed its analysis. The result of this precision measurement of the proton's charge radius, was submitted for publication last week. It will likely stimulate further discussion as the results are in significant tension with previous measurements at other laboratories employing electron scattering experiments.

HEAVY PHOTON SEARCH EXPERIMENT
Last week the Heavy Photon search experiment began its first full production run, which will last nine weeks. HPS has unique capabilities to explore parameter spaces for these hypothetical particles that are currently not accessible in other experiments.

EQUIVALENCE OF THREE-PARTICLE SCATTERING FORMALISMS
A new paper<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__jlab.us11.list-2Dmanage.com_track_click-3Fu-3D1de9c43e6d5e45ff0ecd664cd-26id-3Dfdd7441f07-26e-3D3e24b117b6&d=DwMFaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=TI1-uR1CNrL-lIqQDSyKdw&m=pyEAhwMV_RjxeMe5wC-ezP4gIyRmaiH3582v8GZexaE&s=CQUkTP15_GovNbbvr0_h6zexlJnD1jsyl_T9wiuTRak&e=> from the JPAC collaboration shows that two seemingly different three-particle scattering formalisms are equivalent. While both formalisms have applications to lattice quantum chromodynamics studies of three-hadron spectra, their approaches differ in that one is an all-orders effective theory construction, while the other is derived via S-matrix unitarity. The physical content of the resulting scattering equations is shown to be identical, with the superficial difference lying in how rescattering contributions are organized.

HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT

These include specifics such as proper handling, storage, labeling and prompt spill cleanup by qualified staff.

Off-site waste disposal is performed by a licensed treatment, storage and disposal facility within a specified time frame. All personnel who generate waste should follow defined protocols that include contacting lab environmental personnel to remove and store waste in designated areas until shipped off-site. - Friday, July 26, 2019: Non-commercial services or supply and construction exceeding $150,000.
- Friday, August 16, 2019: Commercial off-the-shelf items exceeding $150,000.
- Friday, August 30, 2019: Purchase actions equal to or under $150,000.

TIMEKEEPING: RECORDING WORK HOURS AND LEAVE
The Finance Division has experienced several instances where employees and supervisors have struggled to record time within the timekeeping system. Most of the struggles revolve around taking and recording leave, but some employees and supervisors have inquired about moving work time to resolve the issue (something that is not permitted).
