Please join us for the 2019 Jefferson Lab Users Organization Annual Meeting, June 24-26. Registration is now open.

The theme of this year's program is "JLab Science Around the World." Each day has a sub-theme, and these are: "an international user community," "reaching the full potential of 12 GeV," and "from 12 GeV to the EIC - toward CD-0," setting the emphasis for each day.
The program includes a variety of physics talks, presentations from the User Group Board, laboratory management and funding agencies, and the winners of the thesis prize and the postdoc prize. Examples of external speakers are Prof. George Sterman, Distinguished Professor and Director of the C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University, and a well-known QCD expert; Dr. Kazunori Akiyama (MIT), NRAO Jansky Fellow, MIT Haystack Observatory, who will give a colloquium about black hole imaging; and Dr. Kenneth Evans of the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University, who will give an overview of federal funding for R&D, recent trends in science funding, and background on the Trump administration's science and technology policy.
We particularly encourage graduate students to attend. Student registration fees will be waived, courtesy of the Jefferson Science Associates Initiatives Fund. There will be special graduate student lunch discussions each day with food provided. We have also scheduled two introductory-level overview plenary talks about JLab science, designed to be accessible to students and other newcomers.
The poster competition continues, with a first prize of $500, a second prize of $250, and a third prize of $100. Each winner will additionally receive $500 in travel support to present their work at a meeting of their choice. The deadline for poster competition abstracts is Friday, June 14, 2019 (email to: Lorelei at jlab.org).
You cannot win if you do not enter!
