To all, resending with correct Occupational Medicine phone number.
====================================================
Dear Jefferson Lab users,
As you may have noticed from a message the Director sent out last Monday, Jefferson Lab has moved to MEDCON 5 status. This means that all staff not engaged in essential and time critical work that can only be performed at the lab has started to work from home. The same should be true for our users. This message is to provide you with further guidance.
1. If you are not required to be on-site for the experimental program to continue, remain off campus until further notice. I.e., any work that is not essential to our experimental operations should be done remotely, do not come on site.
2. Telework as you can, and use phone, e-mail, bluejeans, etc., to communicate.
3. Experiment operations in the Halls is ongoing as usual and is essential work.
4. Certain work related to preparations for upcoming experiments and time critical is essential work – if you believe your work is in this category and requires on-site presence please confirm with your Jefferson Lab sponsor/supervisor and Hall Leader.
5. If you have travelled by commercial public transport in the last two weeks you must call Occupational Medicine (x7539 or 269-7539) for clearance before coming on site.
6. Apply social distancing (more than 6 ft distance) in all your work and interactions.
7. Of course, if you or anyone that you have been in contact with has shown symptoms consistent with a possible coronavirus infection, stay home!
Please be aware that forms of communicating and interacting do vary across cultures and backgrounds. We ask to be extra careful in respecting sensitivities and perceptions of each other, considering that the thresholds may be lowered in these difficult and stressful times. Refrain from improper behavior in all its forms and especially now be pro-active to promote inclusion and act in solidarity.
Best regards, Rolf
