Dear Colleagues,
This is the first circular of the 9th Biennial Workshop of the APS
Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP2021) which will be held virtually
April 13-16, 2021. The workshop immediately precedes the APS April
Meeting 2021 which is also virtual.
The workshop website can be found at:
https://indico.jlab.org/e/ghp2021
To assist in meeting organization we invite all those interested to
register at the workshop website. There will be a registration fee for
the workshop and this will be announced once we know the costs of the
virtual platform.
The workshop will consist of plenary talks and invited/contributed
parallel talks. We anticipate that all parallel talks will be 20+5 mins.
If there is sufficient interest we will also hold a virtual poster session.
Abstract submission is now open on the website with a deadline of 15
January 2021.
The GHP workshop provides a great opportunity for nuclear and particle
physicists to share their research and common interests in hadronic
physics. We are hoping for your attendance and participation, and that
you will also encourage your students and postdocs to take part.
The topics of the workshop include:
Electroweak probes
Extreme matter and neutron star collisions
Hadrons in nuclei
Hadron spectroscopy
Hadron tomography and hadronization
Heavy flavor and jet production
Neutrino-hadron interactions
New physics and discrete symmetry violation in hadron physics
Nonequilibrium dynamics
Nucleon and nuclear spin physics
Origin of hadron mass
Physics of the quark-gluon plasma
Quantum information for hadron physics
Small systems and collectivity
Transverse and longitudinal structure of hadrons
Ultraperipheral Collisions
Please mark your calendars. We hope to see many of you at this virtual
GHP2021 workshop.
