[Cuga] ECCE Workshop follow-up activities- a message from Or Hen

Dear Colleagues,

We want to thank those of you who participated in the first ECCE workshop last week. According to Zoom we had over 270 unique participants through the day with a peak of 170 simultaneous participants. Above all this shows the strength of our community and our commitment to producing a great EIC detector!

Following the concluding discussion of the workshop, we are writing to let you know that we are now forming the ECCE institutional board.  The first board meeting will be held on Friday, February 26th at 11AM EST.  We know that this time may not be optimal for all our international collaborators, but the meeting will be recorded. A link to an agenda page and connection information will be sent around shortly.

Please let us know if you want to be included and don’t see your institution in the current list.  We also remind everyone that participation in ECCE is inclusive and we expect for the consortium and its members to collaborate with other efforts.

Independent from the Institutional Board meeting, we also plan to hold a simulation workshop soon to instruct collaborators on performing full Geant4 simulations for the ECCE proposal. We will send details when available.
