Dear colleague -

The APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP) sponsors a dissertation
award to recognize outstanding early-career scientists who have
performed original research in the area of hadronic physics. This award
was established in 2011 and thanks to the support of the Center for
Frontiers in Nuclear Science as well as friends and members of the
topical group the award was permanently endowed in 2021, and is now
awarded on an annual basis (until 2021 the award was made biennially).
The recipient of this year's award will receive $1,500 and will be
invited to give a talk at the upcoming GHP Biennial Meeting (April 2023
in Minneapolis, MN, just before the APS April meeting).

The nomination deadline for this dissertation award is quickly
approaching (Monday, August 1). We would like to strongly encourage you
to nominate your early career colleagues for this award. To be
eligible, the nominee's Ph.D. should have been awarded within two years
of the nomination deadline (in this case July 30, 2020). Further details
about the award and the nomination process can be found on the APS web
site:

https://www.aps.org/programs/honors/prizes/hadronic.cfm

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to recognize the
excellent work of our early-career colleagues in the area of hadronic
physics.

Regards,
Ian Cloet and Dave Gaskell
