The CHEP conference (Computing in High-Energy (and nuclear) Physics) is looking for volunteers to be scientific secretaries to assist with the conference itself. Scientific secretaries will help with registration/check-in, run microphones during question periods of sessions (e.g. plenary sessions), and generally assist with the running of the conference. In return, scientific secretaries will be able to attend the conference for free (which enables the attendance of talks when not working), a conference T-Shirt & swag bag, and a student pizza party. CHEP has hosted conferences on the topic of computing since 1985 and attracts experts from the world to discuss cutting-edge topics in the field. It provides a great opportunity for networking, especially graduate students.
If you are interested or have questions contact Thomas Britton (tbritton at jlab.org<mailto:tbritton at jlab.org>) or Ezekiel Wertz (ewertz at wm.edu<mailto:ewertz at email.wm.edu>)
Thanks,
Zeke
