Dear colleagues,
As recently announced, the ‘Hot and Cold QCD’ Town Hall meeting to address the NSAC charge for a new long range plan will take place at MIT on September 23-25. We strongly encourage the JLab User community to participate actively and widely in this important meeting where the future of our field will be debated.
In preparation for this, the Jefferson Lab User Organization (JLUO) is holding a half-day online discussion to review different future directions of our user community and to organize our input to the upcoming Town Hall meeting. This discussion will take place on Thursday September 8 (8:00AM-12:30PM ET). The preliminary agenda and Zoom link are posted at:
https://indico.jlab.org/event/589/
The program includes short presentations with sufficient time for questions and exchange. In addition to avenues already under discussion in the community, we have reserved a slot for short (5+5’) contributions describing new ideas not currently in the agenda. Please contact us if you would like to present in that session.
Also, please feel free to contact any member of the JLUO board<https://wiki.jlab.org/cugwiki/index.php/Directors_and_Responsibilities> with comments and suggestions for this meeting.
We hope to see you all on September 8 for a fruitful and exciting discussion about the future of nuclear science.
