[Cuga] Simon Eidelman Prize- A message from Patrick Achenbach

Dear JLab Community,

The International Advisory Committee for the series of conferences on Hadron Spectroscopy and Structure has agreed to establish a prize in honour of the memory of our beloved colleague Simon Eidelman (1948–2021).  The aim of the prize is to support and give recognition to an early career researcher, defined as not more than 8 years experience after Ph.D. award, allowing for career breaks where appropriate.  The focus is on contributions to experimental hadron physics, including theory developments that facilitate significant experimental progress, reflecting Simon’s main contributions to the field. Nominations should be sent to the selection committee (Eidelman-prize at cern.ch), by the deadline of 8 March 2023.
