SUBJECT: Join us for the national rollout of the LRP for Nuclear Physics

Dear Colleagues,

We encourage all who can attend in person to join us on-site for this very important, rare event. On Friday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. in the CEBAF Center auditorium, the Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC) Chair, Gail Dodge, will reveal the details of the Long Range Plan (LRP) for Nuclear Physics. Members of leadership will also provide their perspective on the plan and Jefferson Lab's role in the future Nuclear Physics program.

The Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC) will announce the approval and release of the Long Range Plan on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The document, which is the result of a planning process carried out every five to eight years, will provide a roadmap for advancing the nation's nuclear science research programs over the next decade. It also will highlight the scope and scientific challenges of nuclear physics today, detail progress since the 2015 Long Range Plan was released, and feature the research and real-life impacts of these accomplishments both within and outside the scientific field.

The agenda is as follows:
2 p.m. - Welcome (Stuart Henderson, David Dean)
2:10 p.m. - An Overview of the Long Range Plan (Gail Dodge, NSAC Chairperson)
2:30 p.m. - Q&A Session with Gail Dodge
2:40 p.m. - Jefferson Lab's Contributions (Thia Keppel, Jianwei Qiu, Rolf Ent)
2:55 p.m. - Concluding Remarks
