   "Career Skills Workshop Series Overview: The PhD Career Ladder Program from Stony Brook University"

Abstract:

"Join the Graduate Student and Post-Doc Association to hear about the career ladder program designed several years ago by graduate students at Stony Brook University with support from the National Science Foundation. We will give a brief overview of the workshop series' content and focus on several of its elements. We will discuss career profiling, informational interviewing and networking, and go over practical strategies to tune resumes for targeted job applications. We will reserve time at the end for general group discussion and shared peer-review of resume and application materials, so bring those along if you are interested in getting feedback."
