Abstract:<br>
Spin physics has been a fascinating subject for over a century. Spin
physics
<br>
has produced numerous surprises and breakthroughs, including over a
dozen
<br>
Nobel Prizes in both basic sciences and applied sciences. Nucleon spin
study
<br>
is still in the stage of trying to understand the basic properties
while it already
<br>
produced rich results with many surprises. JLab experiments have made
an
<br>
impact in this worldwide effort. One of the keys to the success of the
nucleon
<br>
spin study is the fast development in polarized target technology.
After an
<br>
introduction on the spin and nucleon spin study, the progress in
polarized targets
<br>
will be reviewed. Focuses will be on the spin-exchange polarized 3He
gas target
<br>
and the nuclear-dynamical polarized solid proton/deuteron targets.
