NUCLEAR PHYSICS
THE COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY

The experimental hadronic physics group at the College of
William and Mary invites
applications for a postdoctoral research associate to participate in
our research
program at Jefferson Lab. Our group is involved in experiments in all
three
experimental halls and is now focused on the science program planned
for the 12
GeV energy upgrade. Our research is generally in the area of nucleon
structure
studies using polarized proton, deuteron and 3He targets. Planned
experiments
include measurements of the inclusive and semi‐inclusive deep‐inelastic
spin
structure functions and the charge form factor of the neutron at large
Q2. Applicants
must have a Ph.D. in physics and graduate level experience in
experimental nuclear
physics. Hardware and simulation experience is desirable. The
successful candidate
will remain at Jefferson Lab full‐time during the term of the position
and will focus
primarily on hardware projects associated with the 12 GeV program. This
position
is for one year initially, and renewable for up to two additional
years. To apply,
please send a cover letter, curriculum vita and arrange for three
letters of reference
to be sent Todd Averett at <a moz-do-not-send="true"
