Quantities are limited, so be sure to order yours today!</font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><br></font></div><div><b><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">JLab to Test Tornado Warning Siren Friday at 10:30 a.m.</font></b></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">JLab's tornado warning siren will undergo its monthly operational test at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3. Depending on weather conditions at the time of the test, the siren may be heard by anyone outdoors within a 1.5-mile radius of the lab. Individuals planning to be in the Central Materials Storage Area (where the siren is located) while the test is taking place must have with them and wear two layers of hearing protection. A sign will be posted at the Central Materials Storage Area gate to notify entrants of the test. It will be removed when the test is over.</font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><br></font></div><div><b><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">JLab Community Invited to Intern Poster Session on Aug. 3</font></b></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">The JLab community is invited to attend the 2012 Summer Interns Poster Session planned for Friday, Aug. 3, 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby. More than 35 participants of this year's High School Summer Honors Internship Program, the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program and the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program will be on hand with posters they developed based on their work or research projects. The students are eager to explain and discuss their work and questions by members of the lab community are encouraged.</font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial"><br></font></div><div><div><b><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">Department of Energy Sponsors Food Drive at JLab, Aug. 6-16</font></b></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">The DOE, including the Thomas Jefferson Site Office staff, is again participating in the Feds Feed Families food drive campaign. Site Office staff will place food-donation barrels near the entrance of CEBAF Center Aug. 6-16. Lab staff contributions to this food drive are welcome, with the understanding that participation is strictly voluntary.
