All systems will be back up and running no later than 7 p.m. The login servers (<a href="http://login.jlab.org/">login.jlab.org</a>) will also be updated and a slight configuration change made. Updated versions of Firefox and Thunderbird will be released to all CUE desktop systems. Also, Windows and Linux patches will be released to all desktops and servers. This may cause intermittent outages to services, but all outages will be complete by 7 p.m. Also, plan on rebooting any desktop systems (Windows and Linux) on the Wednesday or Thursday following the maintenance day to complete patch installation. Her name was randomly selected from 20 who gave the answer, "Arthur Andersen LLP." This week's question: According to the Department of Energy's R&D Records Schedule, raw data generally has a 10-year retention period. By contrast, this related type of data generally has a lengthier retention period, and may even be considered "permanent" if it relates to a highly significant discovery. All responses must be received at <a href="mailto:kindrew@jlab.org">kindrew@jlab.org</a> by noon on Friday, when a drawing will take place of all correct answers. One person will win a Starbucks gift card! (Winner will be notified via email no later than 5 p.m. Friday following publication.
