      1) <b>QCD Town Meeting</b>:&nbsp; HOUSING DEADLINE (Aug 14) IS RAPIDLY

      2) <b>GHP Dissertation Award in Hadronic Physics</b>:&nbsp; The APS
      Topical Group on Hadronic Physics (GHP) recently initiated a
      biennial Dissertation Award in Hadronic Physics.&nbsp; The nomination
      deadline is OCTOBER 6th.&nbsp; Please see their web site for details:&nbsp;

      3) <b>UGBOD Charter Update:&nbsp; </b>The votes are in and both
      updates (changing to a four-person Chairperson line and updating
      the anti-discrimination statement) both passed by significant
      margins (receiving well over 80% support). <br>
      <br>
      4) <b>Acknowledgement of DOE funding: </b>The DNP recently
      distributed a reminder of the importance of acknowledging federal

      5) <b>JSA Initiative Fund Projects: </b>The UGBoD is currently
      reviewing the 2015 requests, but I want to take this time to
