the start of the 12-GeV era, the emphasis on the equipment
and experiment readiness reviews has grown, and it is
clear that this process greatly will benefit from the
technical input of Ed, who is very familiar with the ins
and outs of the various equipment and work and
installation procedures in the experimental Halls, and has
proven to be able to work well with our large
international scientific User Community. The laboratory in
general, and the Hall A User Community in particular, owes
large gratitude and respect for Edâs previous efforts as
Hall A work coordinator. We are convinced that by having
Ed assume this new role this will greatly benefit the
successful, safe and efficient introduction of all our,
often user-led, equipment. We are similarly convinced that
Ed leaves the important tasks and responsibilities of the
Hall A work coordinator in capable hands, with Jessie
Butler assuming this role starting January 1st,
2016. Please give Jessie and Ed your fullest support in
their new roles and work with us to make this transition
as seamless as possible. </span></p>
