    <pre wrap="">Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to attend the workshop "Intersections between Nuclear Physics and Quantum Information (NPQI 2018)" which is organized by the Physics Division at Argonne National Laboratory, and will be held from 28-30 March 2018:

<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.phy.anl.gov_npqi2018_&d=DwIFAw&c=lz9TcOasaINaaC3U7FbMev2lsutwpI4--09aP8Lu18s&r=Rqsuco_YGup4VXZxaxcYOw&m=ELoJL0EqVf7AnA_mcFzTQC-H-8TRLV9j2h32_mONyXU&s=RUMzDt9K5aIw0F7Xq1yhBGbgWko05a5feDYLIxYPuwk&e=">http://www.phy.anl.gov/npqi2018/</a>

The primary purpose of this workshop is to guide and assist the Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Physics in their development of a strategy for Quantum Information Science (QIS) in the context of Nuclear Physics (NP).

This workshop will to bring together experts in QIS and NP to explore a diverse array of topics within QIS where DOE Office of Nuclear Physics assets can make significant contributions, and conversely, how these fields can impact NP. We have assembled an outstanding group of speakers, who will endeavor to highlight and address key questions at the intersection of NP and QIS.

In addition to invited talks the program will allow time for short contributed talks [up to 10 mins] as part of open discussion sessions, and there will also be an opportunity to present a poster. Therefore, if you are able to attend this workshop we encourage you to present ideas which are in-line with the goals of the workshop. Further information about the goals and desired outcomes of the workshop can be found on the website, which also contains a link to the registration page. The deadline for registration is 12 March 2018.

Attached is the workshop poster, and we encourage you to forward this email to interested colleagues. We hope to see many of you at NPQI 2018, which should set the stage for this important new direction for Nuclear Physics and Quantum Information Science.

Best Regards,

>From the Organizers:
