Hall A has completed a second experiment using the novel tritium target. This experiment, E12-14-011, leverages the asymmetric A=3 nuclei 3H and 3He to verify predictions suggesting that high momentum distributions in nuclei are dominated by short distance correlated pairs of different type nucleons (neutron-proton pairs). A third experiment using this target has begun, and it will continue into the fall 2018 run. This experiment, E12-11-112, will also use the asymmetric A=3 nuclei, in this case to perform a precision test of the isospin dependence of the two nucleon short-range correlations, as well as extend such measurements into a regime where three nucleon short range correlations may be observed. <br>

Hall B: Maiden Voyage of CLAS12 The newly commissioned CLAS12 detector had its first physics production run period, Feb. 5-<span class="Object" id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT2197_com_zimbra_date"><span class="Object" id="OBJ_PREFIX_DWT2257_com_zimbra_date">May 6</span></span>. During this period, data were accumulated for 13 different experiments of the run group A (RG-A) that employed a 10.7 GeV spin-polarized electron beam and liquid hydrogen target. Instantaneous luminosities up to 1035cm-2s-1 were used during the experiment. CLAS12 is operated jointly by the international CLAS collaboration of over 45 institutions. The run group covers science topics ranging from deeply virtual exclusive and semi-inclusive processes for 3D quark/gluon imaging, to the mapping of baryon and meson resonances, to the search for exotic hadrons. The experiment employed a sophisticated data acquisition and trigger system and collected over one petabyte of data volume. Data taking for RG-A will continue in the fall of this year.<br>

Hall C: First Experiments Underway<br>
Hall C continues successful running of the first post-commissioning 12 GeV era experiments. These include E12-09-017, which is aimed at confirming the potential for Jefferson Lab to study the proton's 3D momentum tomography, and E12-09-011, which will probe the possibility that kaons can be utilized to enable the tomography of strange quarks within the nucleon. Hall D: Continued Running and Prep for Next Experiments<br>
After this long and productive run, the data taking for the experiment GlueX-I is about 80% complete, and is expected to become complete in the fall run of 2018. The data analysis is in progress. Meanwhile, two new detectors are being built. One is a small calorimeter for the PrimEx experiment, another is a Cherenkov detector (DIRC) for the GlueX-II experiment. These experiments are expected to run in 2019.</span></span>

The paper includes the first practical strategy to renormalize gluon operators nonperturbatively in the "RI/MOM" scheme. This is achieved using a cluster decomposition technique to reduce the statistical uncertainty of the renormalization by a factor of O(300) in calculations using typical state-of-the-art lattice volumes.</span></span>

<strong>Reminder: Lab-wide Cleanup Underway</strong><br>

In addition, updates will be released to core common user environment software, including Firefox, Thunderbird and Adobe Flash. Finally, updates to all Windows and Linux servers and desktops will be released and servers rebooted to finalize these patches. While neutrinos interact only rarely with matter, there are special cases of these rare interactions that can be detected and studied. Kate Scholberg, Duke University, will present results of the first measurement of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering - a process in which a neutrino scatters off an entire nucleus. “Detecting the Tiny Thump of the Neutrino” will describe the recent measurement of CEvNS carried out at the Spallation Neutron Source, the status and plans of the collaboration’s suite of detectors, and the physics we will learn from the measurements.
