<div class="">The purpose of this email is to provide some programming and technical notes for the meeting and poster event. <div class="">There are a lot of details below, but the highlights are simple:</div>

<li class="">Visit the meeting website every day for a link to attend the meeting.</li><li class="">Don’t miss Tuesday’s Virtual Poster Session, to be held on slack and youtube. <div class=""><b class="">We will be using Bluejeans Events</b>, which is similar but not precisely the same as the Bluejeans interface many of us have been using for smaller meetings. Bluejeans Events supports more participants, and provides tools for managing
larger meetings. </div>

<div class=""><b class="">Each day of the meeting, a new link will be posted to the meeting webpage. To join the meeting, simply follow the link.</b> You can attend using just a browser (Chrome is recommended). </div>
<div class=""><br class="">

<div class="">Questions will be asked through a Q&A feature. The session chair will be watching for questions in the Q&A queue. These will be brought up at the end of the talk. You can also “like” questions you are interested in, to raise them in the queue. </div>

<div class="">It is also possible to interact live with the speaker. There is a “raise hand” feature to request being promoted to live interaction. The session chairs will use this only sparingly and at their discretion during the event, because synchronization
and other technical issues can make it complicated. To enter this live interaction, you would need to install a browser extension and use the “request to interact live” feature. If invited to interact live by the session chair and promoted to a presenter at
the meeting, please wait until you are recognized by the session chair before entering the conversation. </div>

<div class="">During the meeting, you can participate in a meeting wide “event chat". Technical problems can also be addressed in a “moderator chat”, which will be a private chat between you and the session moderators. (Some of you might be accustomed to a
direct message feature with individual participants - this is not supported by BluejeansEvents.)</div>

<div class=""><b class="">The Poster Session will be Tuesday afternoon, from 2:30 to 4:30 (EST)</b>. For obvious reasons, the session is BYOB, but don’t worry! You won’t be drinking alone, because this will be a <i class="">social</i> virtual event. </div>
<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>Slack will provide a virtual space to be shared by all attendees. Slack is a reasonably intuitive chat utility, and we planned for this to provide a community interface that could be
shared and used more easily than twitter or other social apps. You can access directly through a webpage, so please follow the link below, join up, and find the #jluo2020 channel to hype your favorite posters and share in the celebration. </div>
<div class=""><span class="x_Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"></span>Each poster will be accompanied by a short video presentation. The video presentation will be loaded to YouTube, and the YouTube comments (moderated, of course) will be used for celebrating
the work and asking questions to be answered by the author. </div>
