<font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">Since the pivoting measurement at SLAC in 1978 and the establishment of the Standard Model of electroweak physics, Parity-Violating Electron Scattering (PVES) asymmetry has provided data on a variety

 of topics from the strangeness content of the nucleon, the excess of the neutron

</font></font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">spatial

</font></font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">distribution in heavy nuclei and its connection to neutron star physics,

</font></font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">and </font>

</font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">the proton weak charge, to measurements of the effective electron-quark neutral current couplings through Apv in elastic and deep inelastic scattering (DIS),

</font></font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">respectively</font></font><font color="#000000"><font style="font-size:12pt" size="3">. As JLab 12 GeV program is now in full swing, the goal of JLab’s PVES program has transitioned to

 precision tests of the Standard Model, and to provide constraints on Beyond-the SM (BSM) physics that are complementary to high energy direct searches.
