We decided to reschedule the SNP school 2023 to avoid interference with<br>
the APS-JPS joint meeting which had been rescheduled due to the<br>
unexpected catastrophic fire in Maui. We would appreciate your<br>
understanding in this matter.<br>
<br>
The schedule of the SNP School 2023 is changed to December 11 to 15.<br>
Deadlines are also changed (see below),<br>
SNP School 2023 is co-hosted by J-PARC, ELPH-Tohoku, RCNP-Osaka, KEK-<br>
IINAS-NX, and supported by ASRC JAEA, ANPhA, RIKEN Nishina Center, GP-PU<br>
of Tohoku Univ, and related research grants. This is the twelfth of the<br>
series which has been held every year since 2012.<br>
<br>
The school will be held in-person at J-PARC as well as online; starting<br>
from the afternoon on December 11 and finishing early afternoon on<br>
December 15.<br>
<br>
The school provides lectures that cover subjects from basics to the<br>
frontiers of strangeness nuclear physics as well as other related fields<br>
such as astrophysics, atomic physics, etc. Lecturers are invited both<br>
from theoretical or experimental physics, and their materials are<br>
prepared to be useful to students and also to researchers who would have<br>
wider interests. Confirmed lectures this year are listed below (Some of<br>
them are under re-confirmation).<br>

Taku Gunji (CNS, Univ. of Tokyo) Electron Ion Collider and QGP<br>
Guillaume Hupin (Saclay) No-core shell model<br>
Feng-Kun Guo (Chinese Academy of Science) Exotic hadrons<br>
Luca Baiotti (Osaka Univ.) Exploring high density matter through<br>
binary neutron stars mergers<br>

Young Researchers� Session (YRS)<br>
We organize the Young Researchers� Session (YRS) for those who think<br>
themselves as young, such as students, postdocs and so on. Speakers will<br>
give a short (a few minutes) presentation. Hashimoto prize and SNP<br>
School Incentive prizes will be awarded to good presenters. ANPhA awards<br>
will be selected from them. Those who wish to participate in the YRS and<br>
/or to request financial support should submit 200 words abstract in the<br>
registration page.<br>
For the young researchers participating in-person, a poster session is<br>
planned in order to discuss each other. Details of the oral and poster<br>
presentations will be announced to YRS participants.<br>
<br>
J-PARC facility tour<br>
We arrange a tour at J-PARC facility; three experimental facilities of<br>
Hadron, Neutrino, Material-and-Life-Science facilities, and accelerator<br>
control room for in-person participants. To enter the JAEA campus<br>
including J-PARC facility, ID with photo such as a passport, a driver�s<br>
license card, or student ID is required.<br>

Poster session with light meal<br>
School party is planned in the later half and after the poster session<br>
for further discussions among all the participants, students, lecturers<br>
and organizers. Light meal and drink will be served.<br>
<br>
Financial support<br>
We have limited amount of budget to support local expenses including<br>
transportation, accommodation and some per diem in Japan for in-person<br>
participants who present research works at the Young Researchers'<br>
Session.<br>

Accommodation<br>
A limited number of rooms in the J-PARC dormitory are available. If you<br>
wish to stay at the dormitory, please indicate it when you register (see<br>
below). In case there are more requests than available, priority is put<br>
for those who get financial support from the school. If you cannot stay<br>
the dormitory, please book accommodation by yourself. There are several<br>
hotels in MITO and KATSUTA area, and you can book through web sites such<br>
as booking.com. If you have any problems in booking hotels, please<br>
consult the organizers.<br>

Registration<br>
Participation fee of 1,000 Japanese yen for school party and<br>
refreshments will be collected by cash from in-person participants. The<br>
registration page is open now. Please register from the school web site.<br>
<br>
School Venue<br>
KEK Tokai No.1 Building Meeting rooms at 1F, which is located next to J-<br>
PARC dormitory, outside of JAEA campus, Tokai, Japan<br>

Application deadline for those who wish financial support and/or VISA<br>
application: September 23<br>
Registration for those who plan to attend in person: November 17<br>

Final circular: We will email detailed access information and zoom<br>
connection information in middle of November.<br>
