<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt;">The 52<sup>nd</sup> Jefferson Lab Program Advisory Committee meeting, PAC52. will be held during the week of July 8 - 12, 2024.  PAC52 will judge the technical and scientific aspects of submitted

 proposals and review jeopardy proposals to provide recommendations to laboratory management. New proposals will be recommended for approval only if they represent high quality physics in support of the scientific meeting of the lab.

 New proposals will receive a 20-minute public presentation at the PAC meeting. Following this session, PAC discussions will continue in closed sessions. At least one spokesperson should be available in person or by phone for 24 hours after the public session

 to address questions during the PAC's discussions. Unconditionally approved proposals will receive a scientific rating and a beamtime allocation.</span></p>

 aim to provide a unified evaluation for the entire run group.</span></p>

 requiring changes or additional equipment must be submitted as standalone proposals. Minor exceptions requiring only slight modifications to experimental equipment should be discussed with the Associate Director for Experimental Nuclear Physics before PAC

 submission as run group additions. Documentation from the internal collaboration review should be submitted to the PAC for information. A representative of the approved collaboration or the relevant Hall Leader will report on these additional proposals to

 the PAC, which may formalize collaboration approval and provide comments in its report.</span></p>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt;">Newly C2 conditionally approved 12 GeV proposals must seek approval at one of the next two consecutive PAC meetings following the one where they received conditional approval status.</span></p>

 Following the public presentation session the PAC will continue its discussions in closed session, and at least one spokesperson should be available either in person or by phone for 24 hours after the public session to answer questions as the PAC's discussion

 progresses. If approved, the proposals will be considered for rating along with the other approved proposals in the grading session.</span></p>

<b>This year's focus is on Hall B's run groups A, B, C, G, H, and I. Run groups I, C, B, and A, having received some beam time, should present results, while G and H should provide updates on new targets and scientific progress. The jeopardy submissions, due

 by May 1st, should include at least a one-page update.</b> Jeopardy reviews cannot be used to request additional beam time beyond the original PAC allocation; for additional time, a new proposal should be submitted.</span></p>
