<b>2026 DRD1 Gaseous Detector School</b>, which will take place <b>July 8–17, 2026</b>, at the
<b>Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB)</b> on the campus of <b>Michigan State University (MSU)</b> in East Lansing, Michigan, USA.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">This ten-days school is designed for
<b>Ph.D. students and early-career scientists</b> interested in gaseous detector technologies or planning to enter the field. The program combines
<b>morning lectures</b> by world-leading experts with <b>afternoon hands-on sessions</b>, offering a deep dive into modern gaseous detector systems such as:</span></p>

<li style="font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; margin: 0in;"><span role="presentation" style="font-size: 11pt;">Micro-Pattern Gaseous Detectors (MPGDs)</span></li><li style="font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; margin: 0in;"><span role="presentation" style="font-size: 11pt;">(Multi-)Resistive Plate Chambers ((M)RPCs)</span></li><li style="font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; margin: 0in;"><span role="presentation" style="font-size: 11pt;">Wire-based detectors</span></li></ul>
<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Topics will include detector physics, signal readout, simulation, design, manufacturing, and real-world applications. Students will also have an opportunity
to present their own research in a <b>dedicated poster session</b>.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0in; font-family: "Aptos", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b>Registration is free</b> for students. Attendees are responsible for their travel, accommodation, and personal expenses. Due to space limitations, admission
will be competitive.</span></p>

<b>morning lecture sessions will be open to the broader community</b>, with options to attend in person or virtually (registration required).</span></p>
