POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE POSITION IN EXPERIMENTAL NUCLEAR PHYSICS
THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY
The George Washington University invites applications for a
post-doctoral research position in experimental nuclear physics. The
position is renewable for up to three years with a starting date as
early as 1-jan-2010. The position will support our research program in
the Qweak experiment at Jefferson Laboratory. Qweak will determine the
proton's weak charge and extract the weak mixing angle at low Q2, which
will challenge predictions of The Standard Model. We are looking for a
researcher interested in making creative contributions to this program.
The researcher will be based at Jefferson Lab. Applicants must have a
Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics and experience
working with both hardware and software. Interviews will begin by
1-dec-2009. Qualified candidates should send their CV, a description of
