"Junior" physicist permanent position at IPN Orsay (France) for next
year, dedicated to JLab physics. The description of the position and the
way to apply can be found on the following link from the French CNRS:

One should then click on "see list of openings" and "our" position is
number 03/05. "Associate scientist 2nd class" means that the position
corresponds typically to someone who obtained his/her PhD less than 3 or
4 years ago, i.e. someone "junior". Applicants should be aware that
applications have to be submitted* BEFORE JAN.5th 2012*.

For further information, applicants can contact me ("guidal at ipno.in2p3.fr")
or the IN2P3 staff physicists who are currently on JLab's site: E.
Voutier or C. Munoz. I copy below the description of the position which
can be found on the web site above mentionned.

"The IN2P3 is involved since fifteen years at JLab in the study of the
structure of the nucleon in terms of quarks and gluons : how the
macroscopic properties of the nucleon (mass, spin, electric charge,
magnetic moment, etc ...) emerge from the basic internal components ?
The current program is carried out at the electron accelerator at
Jefferson Laboratory (Virginia, United States). The Orsay laboratory
plays an important role in the exclusive electroproduction of photons
(DVCS) and meson experiments,
giving access to the generalized parton distributions (GPDs).

The candidate will actively participate in the analysis of data from
several
experiments recently made at JLab at the energy of 6 GeV and in the
preparation and implementation of the 12 GeV program of GPDs planned for
2014.
In particular, he or she will be involved in the development and
operation of a new neutron detector, currently under construction at the
IPN Orsay for the study of GPDs and DVCS on the neutron within the
future CLAS12 detector at JLab."
