[Cugapost] Positions Available at Los Alamos National Lab- A message from Dale Tupa

Hello Colleagues,

 

The Proton Radiography team in P-25 has an opening for a Scientist 2 or 
Scientist 3 position, for a person to eventually lead the pRad Data 
Acquisition.  We are on a tight time schedule for this opening and will 
be looking at applicants in just a couple weeks, so we are asking for 
your help in passing along the word to your colleagues who might be 
interested in applying.  The LANL Proton Radiography facility is unique, 
so we think some applicants lacking direct experience might overlook 
this opportunity.  However, we expect that we might find a person with a 
broad experience in DAQ in any one of a wide range of physics specialties. 

 

When you contact people outside the laboratory, it may help them to know 
that a Scientist 2 is roughly equivalent to a person with some type of 
postdoc experience or equivalent, and a Scientist 3 is roughly 
equivalent to a tenure-track or tenured position at a university.  I am 
attaching copies of the job ads as well as a brochure on the Proton
