The George Washington University Data Analysis Center is searching for
postdoctoral candidates in phenomenological nuclear physics, starting
in the summer of 2012. We would like to find a recent Ph.D. in physics
with research experience in computational methods, applied to photon
and/or hadron induced reactions. This experience should be centered in
theoretical nuclear physics. The person we are looking for would
complement and enhance the existing research efforts of the GW Data
Analysis Center, which actively pursues the phenomenological modeling
of photon- and meson-induced reactions. The candidate would also work
closely with the JLab Nuclear Theory Group.

The DAC works under the auspices of GW Institute for Nuclear Studies
(GWINS), which brings together the theoretical, phenomenological, and
experimental nuclear physics efforts of the George Washington
University. Current research areas include medium-energy nuclear
physics, effective-field theory, nuclear energy research, and lattice
QCD. Our experimental nuclear physics program is being carried out at
Jefferson Lab, MAMI, HIGS, NIST, and Lund.

If you or someone you know fills this description please have that
person forward a current CV and a statement of research experience and
interests to me via e-mail. The research statement should focus on
interests/projects which would complement or expand our existing DAC
efforts. In addition, if you are nominating someone, I would
appreciate an e-mail from you stating why you feel this person would
fit our needs.

I thank you in advance for helping us find the right fit for our group.

Best Regards,

Bill Briscoe
