Research Postdoc Position in 
MeasuringParity-violatingElectroweakAsymmetries at Syracuse University

SyracuseUniversityhasapositionavailabletoworkon 
theprogramatJeffersonLaboratorytomeasure
parity-violatingelectroweakasymmetries.Theprimary responsibility 
willbetoparticipateinthedesign
oftwo newmajorspectrometersforthe12GeVupgrade.The 
candidatewillalsohavetheopportunitytoparticipate
in ongoingexperiments at Jlab, including the commissioning and data 
taking of the approved low energy parity-violating
electron scattering experiments in Hall A.

The successful candidate will join members of the Experimental Nuclear 
Physics group conducting experiments
to test the Standard Model, as well as low energy QCD,

and the neutron distribution inside nuclei. The Candidate will have the 
flexibility to reside either in Syracuse or
Jefferson Laboratory.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle 
physics. Prior experience with both software
and hardware in accelerator-based experiments is desirable.
