Opening of a 2-year post-doctoral position in the JLab group of IPN
Orsay

The JLab group of the Institut de Physique Nucléaire d'Orsay (France)
invites applications for a post-doctoral position starting in the Fall
of 2013. The position is associated to the Heavy Photon Search (HPS)
experiment scheduled in the Hall B of the Jefferson laboratory (JLab)
between the end of 2014 and mid 2015. The tasks of the postdoctoral
appointee will be mainly related to the upgrade of the electromagnetic
calorimeter, including Monte-Carlo simulation, development of a
calibration software and of a monitoring system.

The successful candidate will be mainly located at IPN Orsay (in the
Paris area) but is expected to make several extended stays at JLab. The
applicants must have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics
or expect to complete his/her Ph.D. by the start date of the position.
