POST DOCTORAL ASSOCIATE POSITION IN FUNDAMENTAL NEUTRON PHYSICS

The Fundamental Neutron Physics group at the University of Tennessee is 
seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental nuclear 
physics. The successful candidate will join the groups effort at NIST 
(Gaithersburg, MD) to measure the lifetime of the free neutron.


Qualifications
  The candidate must have a PhD in nuclear physics and demonstrable 
experience with experiments at a major nuclear physics user facility. The 
successful candidate will be expected to take the lead (including the 
supervision of graduate students) in the commissioning and running of the 
experiment. Experience with cold neutron beams, cryogenic magnets, and 
high voltage systems are desirable. Interested applicants can submit

The appointment will be initially for one year, with possible renewal for 
two additional years upon mutual agreement and availability of funds.
