The Fundamental Neutron Physics group at the University of Tennessee is 
seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in experimental nuclear 
physics. The successful candidate will join the group’s effort at NIST 
(Gaithersburg, MD) to measure the lifetime of the free neutron.

The candidate must have a PhD in nuclear physics and demonstrable 
experience with experiments at a major nuclear physics user facility. 
The successful candidate will be expected to take the lead (including 
the supervision of graduate students) in the commissioning and running 
of the experiment. Experience with cold neutron beams, cryogenic 
magnets, and high voltage systems are desirable. Interested applicants
