SUMMARY OF POSITION The Nuclear and Particle Physics Group at the
University of New Hampshire (UNH NPG) invites applications for a
Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will take a
leading role in our Jefferson Lab Tensor Spin program. They will also
have the opportunity to contribute to the Spin Structure program
including production of polarized ammonia for target material for both
the Spin Structure and Tensor Spin programs, the Heavy Photon Search,
and to propose and initiate new experiments.

The position is available starting September 1, 2017, and will remain
open until filled. This is a one year appointment, which will be renewed
for additional years contingent upon available funding and satisfactory
performance. Candidates are required to have a PhD in experimental
nuclear or particle physics by the appointment start date. Experience in
spin-dependent analysis and/or polarized targets would be an asset, as
would experience working with solid ammonia and cryogenic, vacuum, and
millimeter wave equipment.

Applicants should send a curriculum vita, summary of relevant research
experience, and cover letter to Prof. Elena Long
