THREE YEAR TERM POSITION
POSITION POSTED:  FEBRUARY 27, 2017
SALARY RANGE:  $52,600 - $79,000 (PD)

The Hall A postdoctoral fellow is expected to take a leadership role in 
the upcoming Hall A experiments which include: measurements of deeply 
virtual Compton scattering, nucleon form factors, a series of high 
impact measurements on 3H and 3He, and parity violation measurements. 
   The postdoctoral fellow will also work alongside the staff scientists 
on the Hall A High Resolution Spectrometers as well as helping with 
preparing the Super BigBite spectrometer.  Hall A postdocs are also 
expected to interact with the Jefferson Lab user community to develop 
new experimental ideas as well as help with longer term projects such as 
the MOLLER and/or SoLID.


	

	
	
	
	

Position Requirements:

	

	

By the date of hire, the candidate must have successful defended their 
doctoral dissertation in experimental nuclear, particle, or high-energy 
physics.  Experience working with particle detectors and in analyzing 
data is essential.  A solid background in lepton-nucleus physics is a plus.

The appointment will be made for 3 years.  Applicants should attach a
