The Medium Energy Physics Group at Duke University invites applications
for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position.

The research activities of the group focus on the SIDIS program at the
CLAS12 experiment at Jefferson Lab which just started data taking at
JLab’s new 12 GeV beamline. The successful candidate is expected to
contribute significantly to the physics program as well as the
commissioning of the CLAS12 detector.

Our group is also actively participating in the Belle II experiment at
KEK in Japan where we are mainly interested in the study of
fragmentation functions and hadronization in general. This gives the
candidate an opportunity to broaden their experience to e+e-
annihilation measurements which are relevant for the JLab12 as well as a
future EIC.

The associate will expected to travel for various, and possibly
extended, periods to Jefferson Lab. We are looking for candidates who
can make creative and important contributions to our program. A PhD in
experimental nuclear or particle physics or related fields is required.
The initial appointment is for one year, which can commence immediately.
Based on mutual satisfaction and continued funding, the possibility for
extension exists for a maximum of two additional years. Applicants
should submit a vita and brief statement of research interests, and
should have three letters of recommendation sent to Academic Jobs Online.

Questions about the position can be addressed to Anselm Vossen
(anselm.vossen at duke.edu).
