Call For A Postdoctoral Fellow at Okayama University
Okayama University invites applications for a postdoc position in the 
field of nuclear astrophysics.

1. Position : Postdoc, 1 person. Title of the job is a Research 
Assistant Professor.

2. Institution : Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science and 
Technology

3. Job Description : We open a call for a postdoc at Okayama University 
who can work on supernova
neutrino detection and the related nuclear physics and neutrino physics, 
such as the analysis of
Jefferson Lab Electron Scattering Experiments in cooperation with Prof. 
C. Keppel (JLAB). This
research is supported by the JSPS Fund for the Promotion of Joint 
International Research (Fostering
Joint International Research) and by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific 
Research on Innovative Areas
“Underground Laboratory Particle and Nuclear Physics”.

4. Salary(*): About 3,600,000yen for the period from July 1, 2018 to 
March 31, 2019. The position
includes pension and health insurance (15%).

5. Start of the term : July 1, 2018.
6. Location: Applicant may be stationed at Jefferson Lab, but will be 
encouraged to travel
(expenses paid) to Okayama University periodically,
for example to report results at a domestic workshop. An initial travel 
to Okayama will be
required."

7. Term : Initial contract is only valid till March, 2019. This job 
should be considered to be a startup of
the analysis at JLAB. Continuation may be possible.

8. Application prerequisites : Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a 
related field.
