University of Minnesota HEP post doc position available.
The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a
Researcher 6 (Postdoctorial Research Associate) in the Mu2e project https://mu2e.fnal.gov/ . The
primary responsibility of the Research Associate will be the search for lepton number violation
four orders of magnitude beyond the current limit. In particular, the successful candidate will
become a major contributor to the electron tracker construction as well as developing analysis
software for the Mu2e experiment that is scheduled to begin its run at Fermilab in 2020.
Secondary research effort is possible in the NOvA and DUNE experiments.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. with an emphasis on high energy physics experiments. While
the focus is lepton physics at the intensity frontier, we will consider applications from physicists
experienced in experiments from all areas of HEP, high energy astrophysics and nuclear physics.
