SALARY RANGE: $54,800 - $82,000 (PD)

The Hall A/C postdoctoral fellow is expected to take an active role in 
the upcoming Hall A/C experimental program which includes experiments 
such as neutron skin measurements, charmed pentaquark measurements, a 
dark matter search, neutron spin asymmetry A1n and high Q2 nucleon, pion 
form factor measurements. The postdoctoral fellow will also work 
alongside users and staff scientists on the SuperBigBite and BigBite 
spectrometer systems that will be installed in 2020. It is also expected 
that the Hall A/C postdoctoral fellow interact with the Jefferson Lab 
user community in the development of new experimental ideas, and the 
analysis of data to publication.

Position Requirements

By the date of hire, the candidate must have successfully defended their 
doctoral
dissertation in experimental nuclear or particle physics. Experience 
working with particle detectors and analyzing data is essential, and a 
background in lepton-nucleus physics would be beneficial. The 
appointment will be made initially for one year and may be renewable for 
up to a maximum of 3 years. Applicants should attach curriculum vitae

• Ability to get across various locations on the laboratory site and 
access work areas
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
• Visual capabilities sufficient to use computer workstations, read 
documents, and see safety alarms
• Auditory capabilities to hear safety alarms
