Dear colleagues,

the Theoretical Hadron Physics Group at the University of Turin and INFN
invites applications for a postdoctoral position in QCD phenomenology.
The research program will be centered on hadron structure and
hadronization, in particular on Transverse Momentum Distributions
(TMDs), and their manifestation in high-energy scattering reactions.

The position is partially supported by the Italian Ministry of
University and Research (MUR) through the PRIN project "ProtoTaste -
Tasting the flavor of the proton in its full dimensions", involving the
Universities of Cagliari, Pavia, Torino, and INFN.

The Theoretical Hadron Physics Group in Turin

QCD phenomenology, with several international collaborations. The staff
members are M. Boglione, O. Gonzalez Hernandez, E. R. Nocera, A.
Signori. Our research interests range from 1D to 3D hadron physics, with
particular emphasis on the interface with current and future
experimental programs and the development of machine learning tools for
phenomenology.

The successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD in physics (or be
close to completing the doctoral program) and to have a background in
QCD and phenomenology of hadronic physics. The appointment is for two
years, starting in Fall 2024 or earlier. The gross salary is
approximately 25 kEuro per year, commensurate with the cost of living in
the Turin area, and is subject to favorable taxation.

To start the application, please click on the “login” button (top right
corner) first, then select the University of Turin and look for the
openings from “Polo Scienze della Natura”. During the application,
select the research project “Fisica / Codice: DFI_2023_29_XXVI, …,
Resp.: Signori Andrea”.
Please, include a statement of research interests (max 1 page) in the CV.
The application will close on January 22, 2024 at 1pm CET.
In addition, applicants should arrange for three reference letters to be
sent by email to Andrea Signori (andrea.signori at unito.it) by the deadline.

Feel free to bring this opening to the attention of suitable candidates
and do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.
