The nuclear physics group at the University of Edinburgh is seeking
<br>
applications for a 2 year (extendable) Advanced Research Fellowship
<br>
position. This prestigious fellowship is supported by the Scottish
<br>
Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA). The successful candidate is
<br>
expected to have a Ph.D in nuclear physics, applied nuclear physics
<br>
or a related discipline. The fellow will primarily develop and lead
<br>
research programmes in nuclear physics and/or applied physics at the
new
<br>
Scottish Centre for the Application of Plasma-based Accelerators
<br>
(SCAPA). The candidate will also have the opportunity to carry out
research
<br>
aligned with one or more of the current themes in the nuclear physics
group
<br>
at Edinburgh. These comprise programmes in nuclear astrophysics, exotic
nuclei,
<br>
dark matter searches and hadron physics.
