<p class="MsoNormal"><small><b>Postdoctoral Opening in Theoretical
Nuclear Physics at the University of Washington <o:p></o:p></b></small></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><small>The
Nuclear Theory Group at the University of Washington anticipates
filling one postdoctoral position to start in the Fall of 2012. This
is a full-time, 12-month(one-year) appointment which may be extended
upon successful performance up to a maximum term of three years.<o:p></o:p></small></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><small>The
Theoretical Nuclear Physics Group consists of five faculty members - A.
Bulgac, E. M. Henley (emeritus), H.W. Lin, G. A. Miller, M. J. Savage,
and post docs and students. The research interests of the group include</small>
lattice QCD applied to nuclear physics and the structure of hadrons,
effective field theory for nuclear physics,<small> high energy nuclear
tests of QCD, fundamental symmetries, spin and flavor structure of the
nucleon, nuclear effects on atoms, </small>equilibrium and
non-equilibrium properties of nuclear and related many-body systems.<small>
In addition, the group works closely with the Institute for Nuclear
Theory and PNNL. <b><a

</b><o:p></o:p></small></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><small>Applications
should include a CV, a list of publications, a research statement and
the names of three senior physicists who will provide letters of
recommendation. Applicants must have a PhD in theoretical physics,
awarded <b><u>within the past 4 years</u></b> (or scheduled to be
completed prior to the start date). <o:p></o:p></small></p>
